LakeViewCoons Anchored Hope

Wisdom Panel DNA Test Results

PLEASE NOTE: Hope is NOT AT RISK for any of the tested known disorders in the Maine Coon breed, including HCM, SMA, PKD, and PKDef. Hope was also tested for over four dozen additional disease mutations found in other breeds and those tests also came back ALL CLEAR.

While Hope is
NOT AT RISK, she was found to be a CARRIER of two different gene mutations: Factor XII Deficiency. These gene mutations are autosomal recessive and mild in severity. In laymen’s terms, this simply means that as long as Hope is paired with a stud who is also NOT AT RISK and not a carrier, she will not produce kittens that have this disorder.

All of Lake View Coons’ Kings are
CLEAR of Factor XII Deficiency and therefore do not pose a risk of producing kittens who would be at risk for this disorder, despite a Queen being a CARRIER.
