Over the weekend we had the opportunity to travel to Pigeon Forge to attend the very first TICA Allbreed Cat Show hosted by Harmony Cat Club. We especially enjoy this location in the Fall because it means traveling through the Great Smokey Mountains and seeing some incredible fall foliage.
The club volunteers, members, and judges put on a fantastic first show. All in all it was a really fun three day weekend away.
Now it would be an understatement to say that the competition at this particular show was tough. There were nearly 60 Allbreed kittens and 50 Allbreed cats that entered, and of course the Maine Coons had a large presence with 8 adults and 9 kittens, one of which was a polydactyl.
While we didn’t have our best show, it wasn’t the worst either. LakeView Coons Bella Luna Nera was awarded three finals and we got some really great feedback from the judges about her. Additionally, LakeViewCoons Anchored Hope earned enough points and another final to make her eligible for her Grand Champion title. Once the show is officially scored, we’ll be sure to update her profile page with the new title certificate accordingly.
