Cattery News & Planned Pairings

Spring time is just around the corner, and we have some big announcements to make! But first, let’s talk Cattery News.

CATTERY NEWS

We’re excited to report that our boy, StarArk IAU Orion’s Hunt, had an incredible show season this year. Orion has been awarded a total of 14 Allbreed Finals in the 2021-2022 TICA show season. And, thanks to all of the judges who recognized him in their rings, he earned his Quadruple Grand Champion title!

Humble Beginnings Uno, our home bred Black Smoke Polydactyl boy (with white) also earned his Champion title with TICA at just 9 months of age. He is the first kitten born in our cattery and we had high hopes for his future. Unfortunately, Uno hit puberty at 10 months, and decided he no longer wanted to show, nor was he happy with the idea of being a future stud. Because we always want to prioritize the mental and physical health of all our kittens and cats, we had to make the very hard decision to neuter him.

Uno recently turned a year old and is now living with our son as a spoiled pet. Before his official retirement, Uno passed all of his genetic testing, and his OFA Health Screening for Hip Dysplasia (Hip Grading Score: GOOD).

Retiring Queens

We have two beautiful girls who we plan to retire this year. Both of whom are already spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate core vaccinations. One of which is a retired queen. The other is a 24 week old kitten.

Tassel Magic Delight P (aka Mitz)

***UPDATE: Mitz is no longer being offered for rehoming. Because she is a retired breeding cat, and we wanted to ensure her proactive health screening is continued, we decided to keep her with us for a little longer. Thanks to all who reached out and expressed an interest!

Affectionately called Mitz, our black smoke polydactyl girl has been the Queen Bee of our cattery for the last two years. She is an incredibly outgoing and spunky girl with just a hint of sass. She is our most affectionate and vocal girl, and as such, is typically the first to run and greet our guests. Unfortunately, Mitz has a very dominant personality, and would do better living in a home without other pets.

If you are interested in learning more about Mitz and the possibility of providing a FURever home for her, please feel free to give us a call, or shoot us an email. Our contact information can be found in the footer section at the bottom of any page of our website.

Please note: Mitz will be retired for a small rehoming fee, but with a contract that outlines the expectation to have an echocardiogram test performed when she’s 3, 5, and 8 years of age (this is proactive health screening that is performed by a board certified veterinary cardiologist). All of Mitz’ previous health screening results can be found on her Queen’s profile page (LINKED HERE).

LakeViewCoons Stormy Nite

***UPDATE: We are excited to announce that Storm is officially spoken for. She will be called Sol and joining her sister, Luna, formerly called Shado Moon.

For those who have been following the growth and development of our past litters, you may recall that we kept back a brown (black) torbie girl named Stormy Nite. Storm is the daughter to our Quadruple Grand Champion, Orion, and our outcross girl named Setareh.

Unfortunately, after attending only a handful of TICA shows, Storm made it very clear that the judge’s ring was not for her. We had hoped to enter Storm into our breeding program this Fall; however, since the birth of our most recent litter, the plan to retire Mitz, and Storm’s dislike for showing, plans have changed a bit and we’ve decided to find a nice pet home for her instead.

Storm recently turned 24 weeks old and has already been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Both her mother and her father have undergone genetic, cardiac, and orthopedic health screening (results can be viewed on their corresponding King and Queen profile page).

If you are interested in learning more about the possibility of reserving Storm, please feel free to give us a call, or shoot us an email. Again, our contact information can be found in the footer section at the bottom of this page.

Please note: We give priority to current Lake View Coons’ family❣️🐾

Future Vision

With the birth of our most recent litter, we are excited to announce two of Lake View Coons newest future Queens:

Anchored Hope & Twisted Fate.

Hope is a normal pawed black smoke, and Fate is a blue smoke Hemingway polydactyl (with white). Both girls have wonderful personalities, and promising profiles and body structure.

Pending favorable genetic, cardiac, and orthopedic health screening results, we hope to enter these beautiful girls into our breeding program at the end of this year.

2022 PLANNED PAIRINGS

We have a lot of really great pairings planned for this year, but as per usual, nature will always have the final say. Here’s what we are hoping for, but if plans change, we will be sure to publish an update to the KITTENS page of our website accordingly.

Update: Pregnancy confirmed with an Aril 7th due date.
Update #2: Tentative go-home dates for this litter will be the last week of July.

SUMMER: Alya & Mando
